What are some sample parent explanations?
- ”You child read 45 words correct per minute, which INDICATES that he/she is within the low risk range at this time; however, as you can see from the benchmark chart, by the end of second grade, we would like to see students reading at least 90 words correct per minute. Therefore, there are many activities we can do both here at school and at home to build fluency” - “Your child read 110 words correct per minute, which INDICATES that he/she is within the low risk range. However, when reading he/she made many errors and had an accuracy of 89%, which is at the frustration level. Therefore, one area he/she can work in slowing down to emphasize the importance of reading the words correctly.” 2nd Grade ORF Goals
